Heading south of the border presents spring breakers with a multitude of options. Cabo San Lucas has been a premier destination for decades. With a collection of luxury resorts, there’s plenty of on-site activities to keep the kiddos entertained. For the adults, Cabo boasts some of the world’s best deep-sea fishing. Where else can you pull a spectacular blue marlin straight from the water? 

Located on Mexico’s Pacific coast, Puerto Vallarta is another family-friendly resort town known for its beaches and water sports. Jetski, windsurf, and even parasail at the famous Playa de los Muertos, or the much-beloved Playa Palmares. Kids will also love Dolphin Discovery, where different programs will let you swim with both dolphins and sea lions.

Picking the Caribbean for spring break is a classic choice, and these islands are some of the most luxurious options. St. Barts is famous for luxury shopping, show-stopping French cuisine, and the Bucket Regatta. It’s also an excellent destination for families—especially those with older children. Spend Summer 2022 in Style : Where to Book in Europe

Time is of the essence to plan for next year’s European summer adventure. Wondering where to start? We’ve compiled a list of destinations you should have on your radar for summer 2022.

France has something to offer for every type of traveler. Swing into Paris in mid-July to experience Bastille Day—France’s independence day. From a parade down the famed Champs-Elysées showcasing the might of the French military to a spectacular firework show at the Eiffel Tower, it’s definitely bucket list material.

Afterward, follow the city’s population to the coast to escape the August heat. Popular destinations include the classic Mediterranean resort town of Antibes—where hiking the coastal trails is a must-- and the seaside surfing Mecca of Biarritz near the Spanish border.

Like the French, the Italians head to the coast in summer. The Riviera Romagnola is wildly popular thanks to its well-maintained beaches and numerous amusement parks, followed closely by the stunning Amalfi Coast—famous for its picturesque villages clinging to the seaside cliffs. Often referred to as the "Florence of the South," it offers visitors plenty of charming streets to explore during an afternoon stroll. 

While most associate Austria with winter sports, this mountainous country is an excellent place to visit in the summer. Wander the streets of Innsbruck and soak in views of the city from the Nordkette cable car. There are plenty of hiking destinations to explore for nature lovers, including Hohe Tauern National Park in Osttirol and the Alpe-Adria-Trail in Grossglockner National Park.

Travel Insurance: A Peace of Mind  

In many cases, airfare, hotel reservations, tours, and cruises are non-refundable—either up-front or within a specific time frame before your travel date. Should unforeseen circumstances force you to postpone or cut your vacation short, trip insurance can recoup some or all of those expenses.

It would help if you considered the cost of your trip, what situations you’re looking to cover, and how much you’re willing to spend. Cheaper plans sometimes have a price cap. If the value of your vacation exceeds the cap, consider upgrading. There’s also a variety of policies to cover different circumstances.
