One of my favorite personal trips was a private tour of Iceland’s Golden Circle with my family. There’s nothing quite like experiencing the raw beauty of waterfalls, geysers, and volcanic landscapes alongside your kids, watching their eyes widen at the sight of a powerful geyser erupting or feeling the warmth of the geothermal waters. The entire day felt like stepping into a postcard, but it was the private, guided experience that made it so special—no rushing, no crowds, just pure, unfiltered magic.
I’ve also had the privilege of planning some incredible multigenerational family trips. Italy is always a favorite, and a stay at Palazzo Avino on the Amalfi Coast is like stepping into a dream. The pool overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean offers one of the best views in the world, and there’s nothing like watching three generations float together, surrounded by that iconic Italian charm.
Hawaii is another spot where family adventures shine. One of the most memorable experiences I’ve organized was a nighttime snorkeling adventure—everyone, from grandparents to the youngest kids, swam with manta rays under a starlit sky. It was the kind of experience that bonds a family, creating stories to be retold for years.
Montana, with its rugged beauty and slower pace, is also high on my list. There’s something so special about horseback riding through the wildflower-strewn meadows, but it’s even better when you see a grandfather and granddaughter sharing that experience together. The connection to nature and to each other is palpable, and those are the moments that make a trip truly unforgettable.
