Travel has always been my greatest passion, and over the years, I’ve become the go-to planner for friends, neighbors, and colleagues looking for unforgettable experiences. One of my favorite trips to plan was a luxury family spring break vacation to Exuma in the Bahamas. We stayed in a stunning private house with every detail cared for, from private chefs crafting unforgettable meals to seamless daily experiences. We chartered a boat to explore the Exuma Cays and also had a private boat at our disposal to reach secluded beaches. Imagine arriving at untouched stretches of white sand with no one else in sight; just us, the turquoise water, and perfect weather that was neither too hot nor too cold. It was the ultimate blend of relaxation, exclusivity, and natural beauty, and exactly what a luxury escape should feel like.
Another unforgettable trip was a romantic getaway to the One&Only Mandarina. My wife and I stayed in our own modern cliffside house, complete with a private plunge pool tucked into the lush jungle. Each morning, we woke to the sound of tropical birds (albatross, kotis, and countless others) while gazing out over the Pacific Ocean. The resort’s design is breathtaking, with infinity-edge pools hanging over the cliffs, peaceful polo fields nearby, and five-star dining experiences that rival any in the world. With private golf cart transportation whisking us everywhere, the entire stay felt secluded, elevated, and effortlessly luxurious; an escape where nature and indulgence met in perfect harmony.
Lastly, a truly unforgettable romantic getaway was at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. Our room was perched cliffside hundreds of feet above the Pacific, so high it often felt like we were floating above the clouds. The sense of peace was indescribable, and the level of luxury was unmatched. Wandering the serene grounds, we were immersed in nature, while the rest of the world faded away. It was the perfect blend of awe-inspiring scenery, tranquility, and indulgence.
