Travel isn’t a job, it’s an adventure. I love sharing knowledge of familiar places, and I love educating myself on unknown destinations. I’m a researcher, a learner, a connector; I have lots of answers, and I have an amazing network of resources for the answers I don’t have.
Planning a trip is like writing a story – creating a beginning, middle & end that best fits my clients. It requires logical construction, keen attention to details and thoughtful communication.
I have my BA from Pomona College and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. I worked in the financial industry for 15 years and then spent 10 years at home with my children. I started at Houlahan Travel in 2016. This isn’t a job or a hobby, it’s an adventure.
My 3 recent favorite trips:
Peru – Epic scenery, fabulous food and special hotels. The highlights were climbing the Inca trail, biking in the Sacred Valley and a cooking class in Cusco
Morocco – An explosion of tastes, smells, sounds and sights! Highlights were: hot air balloons, sidecar rides in the medina and riding a camel into the Sahara.
Switzerland in the summer – bite-size country that’s easy to navigate and offers everything from towering peaks to beautiful lakes to sophisticated cities.
